I create large abstract paintings that are printed on paper through a traditional printing press. I begin each painting by drawing with a lithography crayon onto a large Plexiglas plate. Through the process of mixing the colors of the inks, I create a rich color palette. When the artwork is complete the plate is placed on the bed of the press, a damped sheet of paper is placed on top of the plate, the felts are placed on top the paper. I then run the print through the printing press. Most recently, I have been printing more in my home studio and simulating the pressure of the printing press by running the plate and paper over with my vehicle. I like the results I am getting. My kitchen table serves as a silkscreening studio. I have been creating on a series of bra posters and wallpapering with them. I enjoy how these simple Bra Posters create community with those who are drawn to them and share their story.  I am so thrilled to be part of the fantastic artists community in Northeast Minneapolis and part of NEMAA.  I enjoy my hometown art community and it is those amazing people that encouraged me do what I LOVE.
